The film Raanjhanaa, which hit theatres in 2013 with performances by Dhanush, Sonam Kapoor, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, marked its 12th anniversary on June 18. To commemorate the occasion, a special screening was held on Wednesday evening, attended by Dhanush and Zeeshan Ayyub. However, actress Sonam Kapoor, who played the lead role in the film, was notably absent. Interestingly, Kriti Sanon, who will soon be seen opposite Dhanush in Tere Ishk Mein—a film being called a part of the Raanjhanaa universe—also made an appearance at the event.
Dhanush
The actor, who portrayed the iconic character of Kundan in the film, looked effortlessly sharp in a black suit paired with a matching T-shirt and layered neckpieces. He will next be seen in the pan-India film Kubera.
Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub
Zeeshan Ayyub, who played Kundan’s loyal friend Murari, kept it simple yet stylish in a black shirt and jeans.
Kriti Sanon
Kriti Sanon turned heads at the screening in a scalloped wine-hued cut-out bodice, paired with a flowy coral-orange skirt and beige stilettos. Her look was both glamorous and elegant.
Anand L Rai
The film’s director, Anand L Rai, was also present at the event.
Naman Jain
Naman Jain, who played the young version of Kundan in the film, also attended the screening.
Kanika Dhillon
2 Pattti writer Kanika Dhillon was spotted at the event with her husband, Himanshu Sharma. She wore a classy white suit for the evening.
Irshad Kamil
Noted lyricist Irshad Kamil also graced the screening with his presence.
For those unaware, Raanjhanaa, directed by Anand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma, was one of the biggest hits of its time. In fact, the film was re-released some time ago due to popular demand.
