Har Ghar Durga campaign will be led by Adah Sharma

The actress Adah Sharma, who has recently impressed the audience with her brilliant performance in the movie 'The Kerala Story' will soon become the face of the Har Ghar Durga Campaign. This scheme has been started by the Maharashtra government where young girls are being taught self-defense techniques so that they can fight against evils of the society.

After 'The Kerala Story' became the highest-grossing movie with a female protagonist in India, Adah became popular, especially among young ladies. Her past movies such as 'Commando' have also contributed to placing her as an icon of the strong female persona thus making her suitable for this women's empowering campaign.

Supporting the initiative, Adah said: “I am more than happy to be the face of the Har Ghar Durga campaign. In my opinion, each woman has a spark of Durga within her. That is for sure, it feels so good that girls are being taught self-defense at such young ages. Those words are consistent with the goals of the campaign to make young girls feel empowered and protected from all the vices in life. At the campaign launch event held in Mumbai, Adah engaged with girls from various schools, sharing her insights and techniques on self-defense. The event was not only informative but also interactive, as the girls participated in practical demonstrations, learning essential self-defense basics that could prove invaluable in real-life situations. Adah's hands-on approach and relatable demeanor made the experience both enjoyable and educational for the young participants.

In addition to her role in the Har Ghar Durga Campaign, Adah has been busy with her acting career. She recently appeared in the second season of the popular series 'Sunflower' and is set to star in the upcoming film 'Reeta Sanyal' , which is scheduled for release on October 14th on Disney Plus Hotstar. As she continues to balance her commitments in the entertainment industry with her advocacy for women's empowerment, Adah Sharma is undoubtedly making a significant impact both on and off the screen. Adah even demonstrated some of the techniques she uses when counseling girls at the campaign launch event held in Mumbai. She interacted with girls from different schools. Not only educational, the event also included the girls in practical drills and activities, learning basic moves that would definitely come in handy in cases of actual self-defense. Adah did not only practice what she taught the young participants but also ensured that she could easily relate with them.

Apart from the Har Ghar Durga Campaign, Adah has been involved in acting on the screen through her acting assignments.
