Hema Malini breaks her silence on Dharmendra’s prayer meetings, sharing an emotional statement that reflects faith, gratitude, and family values amid growing public attention.
The Series of Prayer Meetings Dharmendra had been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital at the end of October after experiencing difficulty in breathing. Following his demise, the Deol family organized a prayer meeting on November 27 at Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai. The event was attended by Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and their mother Prakash Kaur.
On the same day, Hema Malini held a separate prayer and bhajan ceremony at her residence in Mumbai. Her daughters, Esha and Ahana, were not present at the Deol family’s prayer meeting. Later, Hema Malini organized another prayer meeting for Dharmendra on December 11 in New Delhi.
What Hema Malini Said About the Prayer Meetings
Speaking in an interview, Hema Malini said, “This is a personal matter of our home. We talked among ourselves. I held a prayer meeting at my home because my associates are different people. I held the Delhi prayer meeting because I am in politics, and it was necessary for me to invite my political friends. Mathura is my constituency, and the people there are his fans, so I organized a prayer meeting there as well. I am happy with what I did.”
The Deol family’s prayer meeting was attended by Salman Khan, Rekha, Vidya Balan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and several other film personalities.
