Manoj Tiwari at BIPL Auction Season 5 Press Conference: Bhojpuri Industry Provides Employment to Thousands

BJP MP, actor, and singer Manoj Tiwari recently attended the press conference for Season 5 of the BIPL ‘Bhojpuri Industry T20 League’. On this special occasion, prominent faces from Bhojpuri cinema, including Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ and Pravesh Lal Yadav, along with several other artists and industry members, were also present.

Manoj Tiwari Speaks

During the event, Manoj Tiwari said that the Bhojpuri Industry Premier League (BIPL) is not just a sporting event, but a platform to promote unity, growth, and welfare within the Bhojpuri film industry. He described it as an initiative that represents the “family” of actors, producers, technicians, and other professionals associated with the industry. He stated, “We want our industry to flourish and prosper. Every individual who contributes to it should receive their rightful recognition and respect.”

Speaking about the expansion of the Bhojpuri film industry, Manoj Tiwari said that although the Bhojpuri language is not included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, the industry produces a large number of films and provides employment to thousands of people. He emphasized the need for fair wages and dignified working conditions for technicians and crew members, stating that every technician deserves proper full-day compensation for their work. He also mentioned that BIPL serves as a strong medium to promote fitness and mutual camaraderie among industry members.

Acting, Politics, or Cricket?

When asked during the press conference which comes first among acting, politics, and cricket, Manoj Tiwari responded that each field has its own importance. According to him, acting and singing remain his priority, but even more important are the technicians who work behind the camera. He added that even truck drivers are the backbone of the industry.
He clearly stated that politics has no place on this platform. If any artist chooses to enter politics, it is a personal decision, but BIPL is a family-oriented platform where everyone moves forward together.

Presence of Superstars Is a Unique Identity

Many big names from the Bhojpuri industry are seen together at BIPL. These include Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ , Pawan Singh, Pravesh Lal Yadav, Aditya Gurjao, Vijay Tiwari, Anshuman, and Asghar Khan.
Manoj Tiwari mentioned that in other industries, it is difficult to see so many superstars come together for one event, but in the Bhojpuri industry, it is possible. He cited an example, saying that Ravi Kishan agreed to participate in the tournament despite having a busy shooting schedule.

We Are Family First, Then Players

Manoj Tiwari also said that all members of his team play football as well, and such events help everyone understand each other better. The team includes not just artists but also technicians, directors, producers, and new talents.
He emphasized that while winning is important, what matters more is how the industry can be improved in the coming years. The event is not just about competition, but part of a larger vision for the future.

When asked what he looks for in players—talent, temperament, or team culture—he clearly stated that “love” is the most important quality in a team. He added that this is not a platform like the Ranji Trophy or international cricket, but a medium to uplift the Bhojpuri industry. According to him, the Bhojpuri industry is perhaps more united than any other industry. While there is healthy competition, everyone comes together like a family on the BIPL platform.

In conclusion, through the media, he appealed to actors, actresses, producers, directors, lyricists, and musicians associated with the Bhojpuri industry to participate in the tournament. Even if they have to come at their own expense, their presence is important for the unity of the industry.
