Singer, actor, and Member of Parliament from Northeast Delhi, Manoj Tiwari, has begun his Kanwar Yatra during the holy month of Sawan, drawing massive attention from fans and devotees alike. On Thursday, Tiwari reached Ajgaibinath Ghat in Sultanganj, Bhagalpur, where he took a dip in the north-flowing Ganga, considered especially sacred.

Tiwari Walks 110km to Deoghar After 30 Years

After collecting Ganga Jal in his Kanwar, Tiwari set off barefoot on a 110-kilometer journey to Deoghar, where he will offer the holy water at the Baba Baidyanath Dham temple. This marks his return to the pilgrimage after a 30-year gap.

Sharing his spiritual journey with followers on X (formerly Twitter), Tiwari wrote:

“Jai Bhole Ki! On July 31, at 2 PM, I collected water from Sultanganj and began my barefoot journey to offer it at Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar on either August 2 or 3. May Lord Shiva bless Bihar and everyone.”

The post sparked enthusiasm among devotees, with many lauding his dedication and humility.

In a heartfelt message, he added:

“It’s been 30 years since I last did this. I’ll walk barefoot from Sultanganj with the Kanwar and offer water to Baba Baidyanath on 2nd or 3rd August. I pray for the well-being of Bihar, Delhi, and all Sanatanis and Shiva devotees. I’ll return to Delhi by the evening of August 3.”
