From early childhood, Mukesh Gupta had a deep association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). His father, the late Shri Ishwar Prakash Gupta, was engaged in promoting and collecting subscriptions and advertisements for the RSS's publications across the country through its shakhas. This responsibility was assigned to him as part of the Sangh’s central plan. The modest income he received as an honorarium from this work was the sole means of livelihood for the family.

In 1975, during the Emergency, when this work came to a halt, Mukesh Gupta started an advertising agency named ‘Rashtriya’ with zero investment.

At just 13 years old, Mukesh began assisting his father in the business. Alongside work, he pursued his education and completed a B.Com from Delhi University. Within a short span, his principled and honest work ethic earned him remarkable success in the field.

In 1997, he acquired Graphisads, which at the time was a well-established advertising company.

Today, his agency handles advertising, exhibitions, events, social media, and related services for the Government of India, various state governments, public sector undertakings, and leading private sector companies. Nearly 1,000 people are directly or indirectly employed through his ventures.

While the agency has managed numerous prestigious campaigns, one of its most celebrated projects has been ‘Hunar Haat’, a series of exhibitions showcasing traditional Indian crafts and skills across the country. The Prime Minister of India himself has visited Hunar Haat, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has inaugurated events in Lucknow and Mathura.

The agency is also the organizing partner for Divya Kala Mela and other fairs initiated by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. These events provide a platform for underprivileged yet highly skilled artisans from across the nation to showcase and sell their handmade products. Due to meticulous planning and effective promotion, these fairs have seen significant footfall and sales—earning appreciation from all quarters.

Mukesh Gupta's lifelong connection with the RSS has naturally extended into his passion for social service, leading him to associate with various organizations. He has played an active role in organizing music, arts, and cultural programs, and as the Chairman of the Entertainment, Media, and Cultural Committee of PHD Chamber, he has led several large-scale events featuring some of India’s most renowned artists.

He is also a National Council Member of the Swawlambi Bharatvarsh Foundation, an initiative of the Swadeshi Jagran Manch, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship through indigenous trade fairs.

His business is professionally managed, led by a team of trained experts under the leadership of his son, Alok Gupta. Mukesh Gupta himself remains actively involved as the Chairman, offering guidance and strategic direction.

His social contributions include efforts to support underprivileged children in education, providing meals at just ₹10 per plate, and other charitable initiatives wherever possible.
