Multi-talented Sujoy Mukherjee, along with actor Gurudayal Bairwa and co-producer Hardayal Bairwa, who showcased their short film “Hunar” at the ongoing Jaipur International Film Festival had a courtesy meeting with the Hon'ble Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa. The Deputy CM Bairwa heartily complimented Sujoy for his multiple-awards-winning short film 'Hunar'. They also had a very fruitful discussion about the film and prospects of future projects location-shooting on wonderful locales in cities of Rajasthan. which is known for its rich colourful culture, music, dances, and heritage architecture.
Directed by Sujoy Mukherjee short film "Hunar" ( meaning talent or skill)  has been highly appreciated and awarded in many film festivals like Moonwhite Films International Film Fest, 13th Delhi Shorts International Films Festival, Lions Golds Awards-2024  (convened by dynamic Dr.Lion Raju Manwani),  Golden Jury Awards, and Bollywood International Film Festival.
Along with Jaipur International Film Festival, Hunar has also been nominated in the New Delhi Film Festival 2025 and, Kolkata International Film Festival.

Interestingly, Sujoy's previous short film 'Ab Mujhe Udnaa Hai' had also won 40 plus prestigious awards.
Sujoy's dignified wife Supriya Mukherjee and Hardayal Bairwa are the co-producers of this film, which has been made under the iconic banner of Joy Mukherji Production and Gurudayal Hardayal Production. Film has already won Nine Awards in multiple film festivals in different categories
Eminent Bollywood actors Rohit Roy, Madhurima Tuli, and child actor Vidhan Sharma have played important lead roles in this engaging entertainer short film 'Hunar' which also conveys a strong social message.,. According to director and co-writer Sujoy, the subject of 'Hunar' is "mainly about parenting ( father-and-son) and how young children and should never be forced to  take up a career or vocation or even a job against their wish and will."
Sujoy Mukherjee is the owner of Filmalaya Studios (Andheri West)  and son of the legendary actor-hero- film-maker  'late' Joy Mukherjee. who is well-known for his evergreen retro-songs and landmark old films like 'Love In Simla'; Love in Tokyo, 'Humsaya' 'Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon'  Ziddi, Ek Musafir Ek Hasina, and Shagird.
Together with young brothers Hardayal Bairwa and Gurudayal Bairwa from the Tonk district of Rajasthan, enterprising Sujoy has now made his latest short film Hunar.
The film is written by Ajita Kale and Sujoy Mukherjee; lyrics and music are by Sunil Kapoor and Sudhir Kapoor; the film is edited by Swapnil Jadhav, and costumes are done by Sunita Ghodawat.
