Produced under the banner of Flying Bird Pictures by Daanish Siddiqui and directed by Suryakant Tyagi and Daanish Siddiqui, with filming taking place in Bundelkhand, Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, the film offers a unique viewpoint on modern-day love. Starring Ruslaan Mumtaz and Aanya Tiwai, Sarkari Baccha tells the story of a young man deeply in love, who realizes that the real challenge isn’t impressing his girlfriend, but winning over her family by securing a government job—a qualification he doesn't yet have. Filled with humor, romance, quirkiness, and drama, this film captures the passion of a middle-class family’s love for stability and security.
The talented ensemble cast of Sarkari Baccha includes Bijendra Kala, Ehsan Khan, the late Junior Mahmood, Ashish Singh, Daanish Siddiqui, Gurpreet Kaur Chaddha, Rizwan Sikandar, Anupurnima, Suhani Sudhi, Naseem Siddiqui, Anya, and Hemant Chaudhary.
The film also boasts a dynamic soundtrack, featuring well-known singers Javed Ali, Ritu Pathak, Ritu Raj Mohanty, and Harman Nazim. The music has been composed by Daanish Ali, Najakat Shujaat, and Sahajahn Shaikh Sagar.
Talking about the film, producer Daanish Siddiqui shared, “Sarkari Baccha is a light-hearted yet relevant story that portrays a dilemma many young Indians face today. It's filled with humor, emotions, and music, which will surely resonate with the audience."
Sarkari Baccha: Director on Govt Job Obsession
Director Suryakant Tyagi added, "We wanted to make a film that not only entertains but also subtly portrays the obsession of a particular section of society who believe that in today’s technological world, amidst numerous career options, only a government job guarantees security. Our protagonist’s journey is both humorous and inspiring."
Another highlight of the film is the stellar performance of actress Shresta Iyer, who also features in an item song that will add the quintessential Bollywood masala. Shresta is the sister of renowned cricketer Shreyas Iyer.
