'Swar-Samrat' Anup Jalota celebrates 72nd B'Day with 'jaagran-gaana khazaana' amidst 'showers' of ‘apnapan’ from top Celebs! by Chaitanya Padukone

Swar-samrat 'showman' Padma Shri Anup Jalota’s birthday events are always always a music-star-studded melodious event and he is now 72 years 'young'.!  Right from July 28th Monday evening, the Jashn-e-Jalota-Janam  celebrations had started .  A galaxy of iconic celeb-singers including Nitin Mukesh, Talat Aziz, Sonu Nigam  Penaaz Masani Shailendra Singh, Prithvi Gandharv Shameer Tandon and singer Sanjay Tandon  (also Founder-CEO of ISAMRA)  and many others gathered  to  celebrate Anup-jee’s Bday  ( with a ‘live’ non-stop gaana khazaana) . 

The venue was at the  new luxurious top-storeyed sea-facing Jalota apartment in Shivaji Park area. On the actual Bday( July 29th)  in the evening  again at his spacious residence, yet another galaxy of celebrity singers ( almost all of them performed ‘dil-sey’  which included Suresh Wadkar ,Papon, Neha Shankar,  Ram Shankar, Ishita Vishwakarma,  Sanjeevani Belande,, Shweta Pandit, Kamlesh Haripuri,( disciple of 'late' Pandit Purshottam Das Jalota)  classical singer Ayaan Khan,  Sairam Iyer   charismatic singer-entrepreneur Lalitya Munshaw  ( of  famous ‘Red Ribbon’ music  label) and Krutika Shrivastava.  On both the days the musical Bday celebrations went on after midnight up to 3am unto the wee hours. Almost 500 invited Guests ( including Students) must have attended the two-day celebrations event  Among the highlights of the B'Day gaana khazaana was the live extempore performances by Suresh Wadekar of his chartbuster songs 'Megha Rey Megha Rey' with Sanjeevani Bhelande  and then star-singer-composer  Papon,('Moh Moh Ke Dhaage') songs sung by Sanjeevani Belande,  

Bday-boy Anup himself sang the ( Mukesh-Lata) duet-song 'Saawan Ka Mahina, Pawan Kare Shor  (Milan) with sensational Sairam Iyer who mimics and sings  perfectly as a tribute in Lata-Didi's voice .

Among the celeb guests -turn-out at this B;day event were Jalota's family-friend star actress-model-writer Aartii Nagpal, ,   eminent actress Tejal Kishore ( of Nana Patekar starrer 'Vanvaas' film fame ), actress Kavita Tripathi with her sister Aradhana and charming multi-talented famous lyrical verses narrator-anchor Vaishnavi Sharma and hair-make-up  eminent Bollywood designer Jyotika Mirpuri Aroura  !   .

Said  Anup-jee, Although I may have just turned  72 years, thanks to my vocal music devotion-passion,  I am feeling re-charged with divine youthful energy. It feels as if  I have just touched 52 years. Honestly, I am so overwhelmed with the  precious gift of showers  of  love, affection and the sentimental  affinity (apnapan)  of all my well-wisher colleague celebrity singers and close friends,  “  enthused evergreen energetic versatile composer-singer-producer-actor Anup Jalota whose new well-decorated sea-facing apartment  was studded all over with  hundreds of beautiful  flower-bouquets and gifts given by the invitees .Later, Anup-ji informed me that the excellent B’day décorations were arranged by Apurva  Khandelwal  under supervision of Jalota's  secretary-manager  Bharat-bhai Oza
