Abhishek Bachchan, who has steadily strengthened his presence with films like Housefull 5, Be Happy, Dasvi, and Ghoomer, is not very active on social media. However, on June 18, he surprised everyone by posting on his Instagram:
"Kabhi kabhi khud se milne ke liye sabse Laapata hona padta hai”.....
This post sparked a wave of reactions. Without fully understanding the context, people began trolling him. But let’s break down what he actually wrote — and why.

What Abhishek Wrote: "Main ek baar laapataa hona chahta hoon. Bheed mein khud ko phir se paana chahta hoon. Jo kuch bhi tha, sab de diya apno ke liye. Ab zara sa waqt bas apne liye chahta hoon." (I want to disappear for a while. I want to rediscover myself in the crowd. I’ve given everything to my loved ones. Now, I just want a little time for myself.)

This poetic and introspective caption drew bizarre and unnecessary backlash. One user sarcastically wrote, “Where are you anyway to disappear?” Another commented, “You’ve already disappeared from Bollywood, who even knows you now?” Comments like these show how some still only see Abhishek as “Small B”—forever in the shadow of Big B. The classic saying comes to mind: “Nothing grows under the shade of a banyan tree.” Perhaps this is Abhishek’s tragedy — one he can only overcome when Amitabh Bachchan retires completely.

However, many of Abhishek’s fans now take him seriously as an actor. One fan pointed out, “With Ghoomer, Be Happy, Dasvi, and now Housefull 5, he’s strengthening his roots step by step—so why would he want to disappear?”

The Truth Behind the Caption

It later emerged that this wasn’t a personal reflection at all — it was actually a dialogue from his upcoming film character. This became clear the following day, June 19, when Abhishek shared another post revealing his new project.

The film is titled Kaalidhar Laapata

Sharing the poster, he wrote: "Kabhi kabhi khud se milne ke liye sabse Laapata  hona padta hai." (Full stop to all the speculation).

This upcoming Zee Studios film is presented by Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment. It is a ZEE Original, directed by Madhumita, and produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani. Co-producers include Umesh Kumar Bansal and Pragati Deshmukh.

In the poster, Abhishek is seen sitting with a child under a tree branch — a quiet, reflective moment that aligns with the earlier Instagram caption.

So far, only Abhishek Bachchan has been revealed as part of the cast. It’s likely that other actors and crew members will also be introduced using similar creative social media strategies. Indeed, this promotional approach has become a story in itself — a truly new age way to launch a film.
