'Perfectionist' iconic star actor-producer Aamir Khan, always  known for his daring trend-setting decisions  announced the global release of his super-hit theatrical awards-worthy film Sitaare Zameen Par, exclusively on YouTube starting on Friday 1 August, 2025. under Aamir Khan Talkies --Janata Ka Theatre ! 
This strategic move marks a bold new distribution approach that delivers one of 2025’s most successful theatrical releases directly into people’s homes and palms (mobile phones). This dynamic,daring decision of Aamir Khan priced at Rs 100/- pay-per-view ( that too minus any commercial breaks) will ensure maximum affordability, convenience and easy accessibility for millions of his fans .Who for for some genuine reasons are just not able to watch the emotional social motivational; thriller movie  'Sitaare Zameen par' at a nearby theaters.

With an emotional sense of pride, actor-producer Aamir Khan shared that  his heartwarming sensitive family drama, starring himself opposite Genelia Deshmukh and featuring a powerful ensemble of supporting actors, including 10 actors with intellectual ( neurodegenerative) mental disabilities, will be available in India at Rs. 100, and in 38 international markets, including USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, among others, with pricing localized for each market. 

When asked about his statement that he had plans to release the movie Only in theatres and not on OTT platforms Or YouTube release for Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan accepts his fault, folded his hands and said "Main aapse haath jodd kar maafi maangta hoon ki maine jhooth bola, kyunki main aur kuch bol nahi paa raha tha. Mujhe theatre ka business ( exhibitors) protect karna tha," the versatile super-actor said, defending how he started his career with cinema and is very loyal to cinema theatres. He said that his aim was to protect theatres at all cost, and thus, he had to lie about not releasing his movie on YouTube. "Woh mujhe kehna pada aur main uske liye maafi chahta hoon. Unfortunately mujhe woh jhooth kehna pada warna mera jo yeh sapna tha woh wahi pe khatam ho jaata Being against the subscription model, Aamir explains how it is different from pay-per-view content. The actor points out how, with the subscription model, a viewer does not come to watch his movies specifically but to watch the movies that are a part of the subscription model. He explains how pay-per-view model is like theatres, where you pay a certain amount to watch a movie.Aamir Khan further blamed how India lacked screens when compared to other countries. He pointed out how China has 90,000 screens while India simply has 9,000 screens at max. He calls it geographical disadvantage
