Priyanka Chopra has been in India recently. She shared a picture on her Instagram showing her early morning visit to a Shiva temple in Hyderabad, where she’s seen with a red and white tilak on her forehead. It is being speculated that she is in Hyderabad to sign a film with SS Rajamouli. Sources suggest that the film, starring South superstar Mahesh Babu, is titled SSMB29.
SS Rajamouli's Mega Film: Priyanka, Deepika, or Chelsea?
A long time ago, we had informed our readers in Mayapuri that SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu were preparing to make a massive film, which would be the most expensive film ever, with a budget of 1500 crores. Initially, Deepika Padukone was considered for the female lead, but later, there were talks of casting a foreign actress to appeal to the international market. Indonesian actress Chelsea Islan’s name was also being discussed for the role. However, in the meantime, rumors about Priyanka Chopra returning to films and coming back to India started to gain traction.
Not long ago, Priyanka Chopra teased that a “new chapter” was about to begin in her career. This sparked rumors that she might be working with Rajamouli. Although Rajamouli did not confirm any news, insiders say that he is eager to create an even bigger film than Baahubali 2 and RRR. Meanwhile, there was also talk of South stars like Surya, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, and Jr. NTR wanting to create pan-India films, and Mahesh Babu is said to be in talks with Rajamouli for such a project.
Priyanka’s presence in Hyderabad and her visit to the temple seem to indicate that she might indeed be the chosen heroine for SSMB29. Mahesh Babu is likely waiting for the right moment to make an official announcement, and thus, all discussions are being kept under wraps for now. Moreover, since Priyanka has landed in Hyderabad instead of Prayagraj, the possibility seems high that she will be cast as the leading lady in what is expected to be the most expensive film ever made in India.
