Sunil Dutt jumped into the fire to save Nargis's life

Nargis was considered one of the most beautiful actresses of that era. Most people know that she and Raj Kapoor were once very much in love with each other. But perhaps fate did not approve of their union. After that Sunil Dutt came into her life and later they got married.

Sunil Dutt was born in Jhelum province of Pakistan. His father died when he was 5 years old. After this, his family came to India. Sunil Dutt lived in Haryana for many years. Sunil Dutt came to Mumbai in 1955 but had to face many difficulties here too. Due to financial problems, Sunil Dutt took up the job of a bus conductor.

After some time he started working in radio. This was the place where he met Nargis. Sunil liked Nargis a lot from the beginning. He had come to interview Nargis but when Nargis came in front of him, Sunil forgot everything. At that time not a single word came out of his mouth, after which the interview had to be cancelled.

During that time, Raj Kapoor and Nargis had become closer. Despite Raj Kapoor being already married, Nargis did not stop doing RK Productions films. Despite Raj Kapoor being married, Nargis wanted to marry him. But due to family reasons, Raj Kapoor could not marry her.

Let us tell you that Nargis played the lead role in the film Mother India and Sunil Dutt played the role of her son Birju. Sunil Dutt won Nargis' heart during the shooting of the film. Actually, once during the shooting, a fire broke out on the set in which Nargis got trapped. Then what happened was that Sunil Dutt could not see Nargis trapped in the fire and jumped into the fire to save her life.

When this incident happened, Nargis was very sad due to her breakup with Raj Kapoor. Then Sunil Dutt's bravery won her heart. The two got married in 1958, the very next year after the release of the film. As soon as Sunil Dutt got married, his time changed. He worked in many good films like Sujata and Sadhna.

Nargis was the first one to assist in making the film 'Yaadein' 

Sunil Dutt had also taken his first steps as a filmmaker and had shown that he could take up any subject and do complete justice to it. One evening, he thought of a story he had heard from a friend. The first person to support him in this was his wife Nargis who decided to support him all the way. She assembled a small team of the best technicians and a highly talented music director like Vasant Desai and took the risky decision to produce, direct, and act in the film. The shooting began in Bombay and the entire industry kept saying "Dutt Sahab has gone paagal", but Dutt sahab was a man who never cared about what other people said.

 
The film was 'Yadein', Yaadein was about a middle-aged man who returns home one evening and finds his wife missing along with their three children. The rest of the film is about a man who has locked himself in his apartment and lives a very strange life in which he lives the past and present of his life with his family. Anil Khanna's role in this film, played by Sunil Dutt, is one of the most outstanding performances in the history of Indian films.

The highlights of 'Yaadein' are how Anil Khanna (Sunil Dutt) lives his life at different times with his wife, with his children, and with the many ups and downs of his moods and his eccentricities and losing his temper and his fiery arguments. The great thing about "Yaadein" is that not a single word is spoken by any character in the entire film. Yet such was the miracle of Hindi cinema in the 60s. Films were made without songs, but no major and commercial film was made without characters speaking dialogues. Yaadein had the satisfaction of being entered in the Guinness Book of World Records. It was entered at the Cannes Film Festival. Sunil Dutt won the Padma Shri (I don't know if it was for Yaadein) but he certainly deserved every major award in the country.
