The release date of Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan’s niece Anjini Dhawan’s debut film ‘Binny and Family’ has been announced. This family entertainer is based on the 'coming of age' theme and is expected to feature a lot of family drama, emotions, and light-hearted humor. The film also addresses the generation gap, aiming to bring different generations closer together. The film's tagline, ‘Every Generation Has Something to Say’, is being well-received by audiences.

The film is set to release in theaters on September 20. It stars Himani Shivpuri, who plays Binny’s grandmother. Additionally, Charu Shankar and Naman Tripathi have important roles in the film. Directed by Sanjay Tripathi and produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film has generated significant buzz.

Recently, the film’s cast spoke candidly with the media about the film and their roles during a press conference. Here’s what stood out from their conversation:

What Binny’s Grandfather Said

Pankaj Kapoor, who plays Binny’s grandfather in the film, described it as a family story in which he is a part. He portrays a retired professor and Binny’s grandfather. Talking about the generation gap, he said that each generation has its own experiences and brings new things to the table. He believes that the senior generation should try to keep up with the younger generation to bridge the gap. He hopes that after watching the film, people will call their grandparents and grandchildren to check on them and connect with one another. “We’re looking forward to this kind of communication,” he added.

What Binny’s Father Said

Rajesh Kumar, who plays Binny’s father, mentioned that his character is caught between two generations, trying to mediate between the grandfather and granddaughter. He said that the film portrays a common family story, focusing on the relationship between a grandfather and his granddaughter. Sharing his personal experience, he noted that his father lives in Gaya, Bihar, where people typically go to bed by 8 PM, while he himself returns from shooting in Mumbai around midnight. Despite this generation gap, his father tries to adjust when he visits Mumbai. Rajesh also noted that geographical differences can exacerbate the generation gap, but understanding and willingness to bridge it can make things easier. He expressed that despite the challenges, the film is now ready for release, with blessings from Bappa (Lord Ganesha).

What Binny (Anjini Dhawan) Has to Say

Debuting with this film, Anjini shared that any 18-year-old girl will be able to relate to Binny’s character, as her life events may resonate with their own. Anjini described Binny as someone who is searching for herself and her new relationships, portraying a sweet and endearing personality. She expressed her fortune at working with esteemed actor Pankaj Kapoor, stating that not many have the chance to work with such a distinguished actor in their debut film.

On feeling nervous, Anjini mentioned that she was only anxious before going to the set, but once there, she felt very comfortable and found a family-like environment.
