This time you are looking in a different style. You are playing the character of a dancer, how difficult was it to play this character?

I think I am playing such a character for the first time. My character is that of a dancer, and I don't think I have ever played a dancer. I am not a professional dancer and that is why I have faced problems. My character is that of a proper Kathak dancer, and I have never learned Kathak, so I find a lot of rehearsals. We don't get that much time for TV shooting. I somehow finished the rehearsal the night before and then the next day the entire sequence had to be finished in two to two and a half hours. Everyone works very hard. I have never played such a character which is a housewife, so there was some difficulty in the beginning but then gradually I added things as per my choice in it. The character of Jhanak is new to me, everything is very new right now, and I am just trying to adapt to it.

There is some Bengali touch in the show, so did you face any challenges regarding that?

I don't have a Bengali background so it was a bit difficult, but since my character currently works for a Bengali family, I am also learning a little bit of Bengali. The show also has a Kashmiri touch, so when we went there to shoot, I noticed the things and people around there very carefully because I had to understand their language and way of speaking. He uses some different words, I had to understand all that.
