Jason started his career with the film Fitoor but he got recognition by playing the role of Captain Hugh Ross in the Zee TV serial 'Jhansi Ki Rani'. Let us tell you that Jason has also worked in many films, web series, and television. Recently, Jason played a small role in Prabhash’s film 'Salaar'. Jason won people's hearts by playing the role of Alistair Cartwright in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix series 'Heeramandi'. Let us tell you what Jason says about this series and his experience of working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Jason's Journey: From 'Salaar' to 'Heeramandi' with Sanjay Leela Bhansali You are a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix web series 'Heeramandi'. How was the experience of working with him? I am very grateful that I have got such a big job and that too on such a big platform. This is the first time that Netflix has made such a big investment in India. I think the path will change a bit for me too from here. How was the experience of working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali? Sanjay sir is a perfectionist. I think this is a good thing because as a director you should get what you want. You get to see very good things in Bhansali's projects. From story to set and from dress to jewelry, Bhansali takes very careful care of everything. What were the reasons behind you doing this project? The biggest reason is that it is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's project. I was a little hesitant in doing this project only because I have a romantic scene with a man in it. I found this thing a bit challenging but then I said yes thinking that since it is Bhansali's project, this thing will also be shown in a very beautiful manner. And then when I came to know that the range of this character is very good because it is a bit difficult to get work with so many heroines in today's time. And it is even more difficult to get work with so many heroines in one project. I enjoyed working on this project and was very happy. How was the experience of working with the cast and crew of the series? All are very experienced people. I enjoyed working with Sonakshi, she is very professional. Manisha and I did not talk much and this was also important for our character. Manisha played her character very well and she had completely got into her character. Sanjeeda Shaikh also did a very good job. On the first day, my shot was with Sanjeeda Shaikh, and that scene was very powerful. I enjoyed working with him. I did not share the screen with any other actress. I did not have any scene with Richa Chadha. Richa Chadha ma'am has also done a very good job. Would you like to tell us something about your upcoming projects? Dharma Productions has an upcoming project whose shooting has been completed. I have a small character role in this project but it is good. As we say everything is in the hands of God, he will give it to us whenever he wants. And I think I will get many different opportunities from here. Right now talks are going on about some projects, everything will be known gradually. According to you, what is the special thing about this series? The intensity of this project. The kind of life a courtesan leads is a very sad life for girls. Girls are forced into this work and a time comes when they start feeling that they will not be able to do anything other than this work. The life of these women is very difficult. Children are snatched from their parents and forced into such work; those children do not even know who their parents are. I think people may not know much about such things and this series will open their eyes. People like the series a lot, why do you think people are giving so much love to the series? People think that it is only eight episodes, I have always been saying that this is eight Bhansali films. Every episode is exactly like a film and this web series has become like a film. The way things have been shown is very beautiful. Sanjay sir has taken care of small details. Old memories are seen in every scene. What would you like to say to your fans? I hope you all like my work. And if you do not like my work then you can use the cuss words, there is no problem.
