Prakhar Saxena Talks ‘Jagriti-Ek Nayi Subah’ Role & Return to TV

Zee TV's new show ‘Jagriti-Ek Nayi Subah’ is generating a lot of buzz, and actor Prakhar Saxena is making a noteworthy appearance in the show. He plays the role of Durjan Singh, a negative character. Having worked across theater, Netflix, and films, Prakhar is now returning to television. His previous TV credits include shows like Bhootu, Aladdin, Na Aana Is Des Laado, and Anjan Banjara. In an exclusive conversation with MayaPuri, Prakhar shared his thoughts on his character, his experiences on set, and more.

• How would you describe your character in the show?

My character in this show is named Durjan Singh. He is a negative character with many facets. I really like my role because it aligns with the kind of character I’ve always wanted to play in my life. So, playing this role feels very fulfilling. You could say that this character is a fulfillment of my own wish. I am grateful to Zee TV, Gurudev, and Jagat Sharma for this opportunity.

• What has your experience been working with everyone on the set?

Everyone on set is very nice. People understand each other well. My interactions with everyone have been great, whether it’s with the makeup team, the art team, or the direction team. When the people you work with are supportive and understanding, it leads to success in the work. I believe that enjoying your work is essential, and I’m having a great time in this role.

• What do you find special about this show?

The special aspect of this show is that its story is very unique. The narrative is interesting and has elements that will attract viewers. Additionally, I really like all the characters in this show. I hope the audience will enjoy it as much as I do.

• What would you like to say to the viewers?
