Following the success of Banni Chow Home Delivery, fans’ favorite duo Ulka Gupta and Pravisht Mishra return to the screen in a completely new avatar. The two actors come together in the music video ‘Patthar Ka Tumhara Dil’, showcasing not just their chemistry but also a more mature and emotionally layered storytelling. Recently, Mayapuri journalist Shilpa Patil caught up with the two stars to talk about their experience, the uniqueness of their roles, and the deeper message of love, loss, and emotional growth embedded in the song. Here's what they had to say:
- How did it feel to reunite for the music video ‘Patthar Ka Tumhara Dil’?
Ulka: When I got the call that there’s a music video and my co-actor is Pravisht, I was genuinely happy. After Banni Chow Home Delivery, working in a completely different zone was fun and refreshing. This time, we played entirely new characters, with a different energy and aesthetic. And I was even more delighted to know that Mr. Mishra himself had recommended me for it!
Pravisht: Yes, our previous project also had romance, but in a different flavor. This time, the story, the cultural backdrop, and the locations—everything was fresh. This video gave us a chance to explore our chemistry on a whole new level.
- What message does ‘Patthar Ka Tumhara Dil’ convey?
Pravisht: It’s not just a love-and-breakup story; it’s a journey. It starts with love, moves through heartbreak, and ends with someone rising above revenge and bitterness. It shows that even after heartbreak, a person can still remain a giver—someone who doesn’t turn bitter, who continues to understand others, forgive, and share love. That emotional maturity is what makes this story powerful.
Ulka: And when someone wrongs you and you still forgive them—that creates deep regret. That’s exactly what happens to my character. She eventually realizes what she lost and what she truly gained.
- What stood out about your characters in this project?
Ulka: My role was set in a grey zone—not entirely negative, not entirely positive. A practical girl who makes decisions based on circumstances. The takeaway is simple: one must be clear whether they want love or wealth.
Pravisht: My character is someone looking for true love, but the girl he falls for is chasing wealth. That’s where the central conflict of the story lies.
- Is it difficult today to balance love and money in a relationship?
Ulka: If you genuinely love someone, money doesn’t matter that much. What really matters is finding that one person without whom life feels incomplete.
Pravisht: Honestly, if a man has money, the chances of finding love increase. But understanding what true love really is—well, that takes both time and life experience.
- Where was this music video shot? How do the locations add to the feel?
Ulka: The locations we shot at were absolutely stunning. Each frame carried a unique emotion. And this time, our looks and styling were also quite distinct and stylish.
Pravisht: In this video, my character transitions from poor to rich. After heartbreak, it’s like a rocket takes off—that’s the kind of transformation the story captures.
- Can fans expect to see you both together again in future projects?
Ulka: If Mr. Mishra gives us another opportunity, I’d love to. I’m also appearing in upcoming Telugu films, which have already wrapped shooting.
Pravisht: I’ll just become a producer myself and sign Ulka! Maybe we’ll even launch a joint production someday.
- What are your expectations from the audience for ‘Patthar Ka Tumhara Dil’?
Ulka: For fans who loved our chemistry in the show, this will be a beautiful surprise. If you’ve ever experienced heartbreak, you’ll definitely connect with this song.
Pravisht: This isn’t just a song—it’s like a short film. The core message is about how a person can still grow and become greater, even after heartbreak.
