Aamir Khan revealed about the theme of 'Sitar Zameen Par'

Aamir Khan shares his thoughts on the sequel of Tare Zameen Par

Let us tell you that in an interview given to Deadline at the Red Sea International Film Festival, Aamir told in detail about Sitare Zameen Par. During the conversation, when asked about Sitare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan said, "Taare Zameen Par is a sequel to Tare Zameen Par, which I directed a few years ago. However, it is not a sequel in the sense that the characters do not carry forward from the previous one. So it is a set of new characters with completely new situations and plot. Thematically it is a sequel to Tare Zameen Par".

Continuing his point, Aamir Khan further said, "It is saying the same things. In fact, it is saying a lot more. Taare Zameen Par was about a child who has dyslexia. So it is a film that explores themes of the challenges of multiple intelligences, and how we quickly judge people based on their written and reading IQ. Whereas people have multiple intelligences that often go unrecognized. We all have difficulties and weaknesses, qualities that make us magical and unique. That is the theme that has been carried forward in Taare Zameen Par".

Aamir Khan spoke on the release of the film

Aamir Khan also shared the plan to release the film after completing the post-production work. He said, "We are actually coming to post-production. We have some pick-ups and then we will post at the end of this month. Then we will be ready to release the film sometime in the middle of next year". Let us tell you that Sitare Zameen Par was announced in October 2023. It will star Aamir, Darsheel and Genelia Deshmukh in the lead roles. RS Prasanna is directing the sequel, which is based on the 2018 Spanish film Champions.

Aamir Khan is back to work with a slew of exciting projects. After Taare Zameen Par, he will next be seen in Sitare Zameen Par alongside Genelia D'Souza and Darsheel Safary. Additionally, the actor is reportedly in talks with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for a superhero film, which could go on the floors in 2026 if finalised. Aamir is also producing Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, and is in discussions with producer Allu Arvind for a potential sequel to the 2008 blockbuster Ghajini. Despite the setbacks, Aamir Khan is set to make a dynamic comeback with the support of his family and a renewed focus on storytelling.
