Bombay High Court gave a big order to CBFC regarding Kangana's Emergency

Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency' is currently in the news. The film was scheduled to release in theaters on 6 September 2024 but now it has been postponed. Not only this, the Bombay High Court has refused to direct the Central Board of Film Certification to immediately issue a certificate to the film Emergency. After which Kangana Ranaut has now expressed her reaction to this decision of the High Court. 

Emergency postponed for two weeks

Let us tell you that Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency' did not get any relief from the Bombay High Court on Wednesday, which refused to pass any order in view of the Madhya Pradesh High Court's direction, which directed the CBFC to consider the objections before certifying the film. The film was scheduled to release on September 6, but now it will be postponed for two weeks as the High Court has directed the censor board to consider the objections raised against the film and then certify it by September 18.

The High Court stayed the censor certificate of the film 

In a major setback to Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency', the Bombay High Court on Wednesday refused to grant certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for the film. A division bench of Justices BP Colabawala and Firdaus Pooniwala said they could not issue any direction as the Madhya Pradesh High Court had already ordered the censor board to consider the objections before certifying the film. This comes a day after the co-producer of the film 'Emergency', Zee Entertainment Enterprises, approached the Bombay High Court seeking the release of the film and a censor certificate. The petition filed in the High Court states that the censor board has taken "arbitrary and illegal" action. The petition also claimed that the censor board was ready with the certificate but was not issuing it.

The court gave these orders to the censor board

On Tuesday, the Madhya Pradesh High Court heard petitions filed by Sikh groups claiming that the Kangana Ranaut-starrer film had scenes that could hurt their religious sentiments and hence cause unrest. The court directed the censor board to consider the objections raised by the petitioning Sikh groups to the film before issuing a certificate to the film. The CBFC was directed to do this work expeditiously and take a decision.

Not only this, actress-politician Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the Bombay High Court's order on the delay in approving her upcoming film Emergency by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). On Wednesday, Kangana shared a tweet of Live Law on X (formerly Twitter). She tweeted, "Today I have become everyone's favorite target, this is the price one has to pay for waking up this sleeping country, they don't know what I am talking about, they don't know why I am so worried, because they want peace, they don't want to take sides. They are calm, you know calm".

ontinuing her point, the actress said, "I wish that poor soldier at the border had the same privilege to stay calm, I wish he didn't have to take sides, and didn't consider Pakistanis/Chinese as his enemies. He is protecting you while you can lust after terrorists or traitors. I wish that young woman whose only crime was that she was alone on the road and was raped, was probably a gentle and kind person who loved humanity but was her humanity repaid? I wish all the robbers and criminals also had the same love and affection as this quiet and sleeping generation but the truth of life is different.
