Chhaava: Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna's film 'Chhaava' is constantly in the news. Both the stars are promoting their film with great enthusiasm. The film is all set to release on February 14. Now Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna's film Chhaava has been censored by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The censor board has asked the makers to make some changes in the film.
Makers got orders to change the scenes of the film
In fact, according to Bollywood Hungama, several changes were made to Chhava during the censor process. One of the dialogues is 'Mughal Sultanate ka jahar'. It has reportedly been replaced with 'At that time, many rulers and sultanates were trying to keep themselves alive'. The CBFC also ordered that the line 'Khoon to aakhir Mughalon ka hi hai' be changed to 'Khoon to hai Aurang ka hi'. Not only this, the words 'Haramzadon' and 'Haramzada' have been muted. 'Amen' has been replaced with 'Jai Bhavani'. Other changes include '16 saal' to '14 saal', '22 saal ka ladka' to '24 saal ka ladka' and '9 saal' to 'kaayi saal'.
Changes made in many scenes
According to the information received, the CBFC directed the makers of Chhava to remove scenes showing Maratha warriors wearing saris. Apart from this, they were asked to include an audio-text disclaimer mentioning the book on which the film is based, clarifying that the film is not intended to defame anyone or present incorrect historical facts. According to the CBFC website, Chhava was certified on February 1, 2025. The film has received a 'UA 16+' rating and has a certified runtime of 161 minutes and 50 seconds, which is equivalent to 2 hours, 41 minutes and 50 seconds.

For your information, let us tell you that there was a demand to remove the scenes of the dance sequence of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Maharani Yesubai in the film Chhava. Maharashtra Minister Uday Samant had earlier expressed disappointment over Vicky Kaushal's film Chhava. He objected to the scene showing Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj dancing and said that it should be removed. Later the producers accepted the request to remove the scene. The film's director Laxman Uttekar met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Raj Thackeray and assured that all objectionable scenes from the Vicky Kaushal-starrer film would be removed before release.

'Chhava' is a historical drama that revolves around the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In the film, Vicky Kaushal is going to play the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the founder of the Maratha Empire. Apart from Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, the film also stars Akshay Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Neil Bhoopalam, Santosh Juvekar and Pradeep Rawat in lead roles. The film Chhava will be released in theaters on 14 February 2025.
