Dharmendra Death: Renowned actorDharmendra passed away today, November 24, at the age of 89. The actor's condition was reported to be critical. Following Dharmendra's death, Hema Malini has arrived at the Vile Parle crematorium.
The ambulance reached the actor's house
Meanwhile, on Monday, November 24th, security was tightened near the famous actor Dharmendra's Mumbai home, and an ambulance was also seen there. According to sources, barricades have been placed outside the actor's home, and an ambulance has been parked inside.

Dharmendra was admitted to the hospital

Dharmendra ( 89 ) was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on November 10th after experiencing breathing problems. He was placed on ventilator support, but his condition remained stable. He was taken to his Juhu home by ambulance at around 7:45 a.m. on November 12th. Dr. Prateek Samdani said, "He had been visiting the hospital regularly for the past few weeks. His treatment will now continue at home. He was discharged at 7:30 a.m." On November 11th, false rumors of his death spread, prompting strong protests from his daughter Esha Deol and wife Hema Malini on social media. Sunny Deol's team provided an update, saying, "Papa is improving. Please pray."

Dharmendra was fondly called the "He-Man" of Bollywood. Dharmendra Singh Deol was born on December 8, 1935, in Sahnewal, a village in Ludhiana, Punjab. He grew up in a traditional Jat Sikh family. Dharmendra studied at Government Senior Secondary School, Lalton Kalan, and later enrolled at Ramgarhia College, Phagwara, for his intermediate studies. Although he only studied until the 12th grade, his passion for acting was evident from a young age, and he decided to pursue a career in films.

Dharmendra made his film debut in 1960 with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere. He made his breakthrough in 1966 with Phool Aur Patthar, which established him as a leading actor in Bollywood. Known for his romantic roles, Dharmendra dominated the screen in films like Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971), Rakhwala (1971), and Jugnu (1973). In the 1970s and 1980s, he worked with top actors and actresses and starred in classics like Sholay (1975), where his role as Veeru is still remembered. Dharmendra was last seen on screen in the 2024 rom-com "Teri Baatein Mein Aisa Ulza Jiya," starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. The actor's last film is "Ekkis." In "Ekkis," Dharmendra will play Arun Khetrapal's father, and Jaideep Ahlawat will play an army officer. Simar Bhatia will play his love interest. "Ekkis" will be released in theaters on December 25, 2025.
