Legendary actor Dilip Kumar, also known as the Tragedy King of Indian cinema, passed away on July 7, 2021. On his 4th death anniversary, fans across the nation are remembering him with teary eyes. Among those paying heartfelt tribute was veteran actor Dharmendra, who shared an emotional post in his memory.
Dharmendra’s Emotional Tribute
Dharmendra, who has always seen Dilip Kumar as an elder brother and his greatest idol, took to his official Instagram handle and shared a rare, unseen picture. In the photo, the two actors are seen warmly shaking hands.
Alongside the picture, Dharmendra wrote:
"Today feels like a very sorrowful and ominous day. On this very day, my dearest brother, everyone's beloved star, the god of the film industry, and a noble soul — Dilip Sahab — left us forever. This loss is unbearable, but I console myself by believing he's still around us."
This post reflects the deep emotional bond Dharmendra shared with Dilip Kumar. This isn’t the first time Dharmendra has publicly expressed his admiration and love—he often referred to Dilip Sahab as “Bhaisaab” in interviews and public appearances.

Born on December 11, 1922, in Peshawar (now in Pakistan), Dilip Kumar’s real name was Mohammed Yusuf Khan. He made his acting debut with Jwar Bhata in 1944, but his breakthrough came with ‘Andaz’ (1949).
