ED seized Raj Kundra's property worth Rs 98 crore, know the reason!

Raj Kundra, husband of famous Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, is once again seen getting into trouble. ED (Enforcement Directorate) has seized assets worth Rs 98 crore of Raj Kundra, which also includes a flat in Juhu and a bungalow in Pune. Let us tell you that today on April 18, ED seized property worth Rs 98 crore of Raj Kundra due to a Bitcoin fraud case. While sharing this information on social media platform Twitter, ED wrote, "ED, Mumbai has provisionally attached immovable and movable properties worth Rs 97.79 crore from Ripu Sudan Kundra alias Raj Kundra under the provisions of PMLA, 2002." The attached properties include a residential flat in Juhu which is currently in the name of Smt. Shilpa Shetty and equity shares in the name of Raj Kundra.

ED interrogated Raj Kundra in a Bitcoin scam in 2018

Let us tell you that earlier in the year 2018, ED had interrogated Raj Kundra in the Bitcoin scam case of Rs 2000 crore. An ED official had then told that Raj Kundra was interrogated in the case registered in Thane Crime Branch. It has been said in the report that these people had taken bitcoins worth Rs 6600 crore from investors based on false promises. This happened in 2017. During this time people were promised a 10 percent return. Raj Kundra had received 285 bitcoins in this scam. Its current price is more than Rs 150 crore. In this case, ED has already seized movable and immovable property worth Rs 69 crore. During the interrogation, the ED officer said that it is not clear whether Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra has any role in the scam or whether he is innocent. But now the way the property has been seized, it seems that Raj Kundra's troubles may increase.
