Following super-success of ‘Animal’ , will  bold, shock-value ‘Fire of Love-RED’ with Krushna Abhishek  as revengeful serial-‘lady-killer’ also get terrific public responses ?  By  Chaitanya  Padukone

Despite its shock-value brutally sadistic content,  mega-hit musical ‘Animal’  directed by Sandeep  Reddy Vanga has emerged a box-office blockbuster hit (all set to cross Rs 900 crores !). 
As a "New Year Gift" Hindi movie Fire of Love –RED’ directed by veteran Ashok Tyagi and produced by Rajeev Chaudhari ( director of  Sunny Leone-starrer ‘Beimaan Love’ fame) is being released this Friday, with no direct-competition from any new-release major multi-starrer or big-banner movie.

Now this musical entertainer movie RED has versatile-star-actor comedian-mimic Krushna Abhishek defying his positive lovable image even as he gets betrayed by his vivacious wife  (actress Payal Ghosh). On the rebound, Krushna’s screen-avataar ‘famous-writer-Rajveer’ turns into a  revengeful, violent, serial ‘lady-killer’ who seduces several hot young women and then brutally kills them and disposes off their bodies.  Just like how ‘Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Animal’, defies his lovable off-screen image to play the revenge-seeking sadistic son ‘Ranvijay’ who goes on a brutal killing spree.     

‘Red’ movie  producer Rajeev seems optimistic as he says,

“ In the wake of the spectacular success of Animal film released just a month ago , I can anticipate similar kind of audience responses for our film Fire of love Red as this is also a film full of anger, revenge, love-making romantic scenes, raw passion and brutal killings. The ‘shock- value’ is through Krushna Abhishek’s misogynist (woman-hater) scheming screen-character  . Am sure his loyal fans and cine-goers will possibly be shocked to see the goody-goody, masti-mazaak-wala telly-screen entertainer Krushna Abhishek as an angry serial psycho-killer ! By sheer coincidence Fire of  Love-RED has a lot of shades of Animal and that’s going to be our USP today as ‘bad hero’ negative shock-values cinema seems to be the in-thing today. For the sake of public awareness, I must also share that our boldest sensational movie Red was ready-for-release movie in October 2023 itself.. However, even after being certified-by Censors, we were not easily getting the desired chain-of-theatres and shows as there were multiple releases of multi-starrers and blockbusters clashing with our Red movie release plans,” explains Rajeev.

 Veteran writer-director-lyricist Ashok Tyagi who feels that  their “boldest movie” movie Red is nothing less than “revolutionary entertainment which is brazen, spine-chilling yet thought-provoking subject with marital infidelity as its trigger-theme. But at the same time we have clap-worthy dialogues, backed by  brilliantly composed melodious songs including ‘Zaalima’ sung so beautifully by Shaan and composed by Hriju Roy plus an impressive background score . As our lucky-mascot we also have rugged supporting actor Kamlesh Sawant ( of  super-hit ‘Drishyam 2’  fame) once again playing the  investigating police officer in our ‘Red’, as well,” discloses Tyagi.   

 Says  lead actor Krushna Abhishek, “ This movie ‘Fire of Love-Red’ will also go to prove that I am a versatile actor who has much more to him than comedy and mimicking. Maybe  it’s a calculated risk, but for me I am getting an opportunity to step out of my comfort-zone and daringly defy my popular image My loyal fans will hate my rebel-sadistic screen negative character--but will love my performance, because his badle-ki-aag violent actions have this entertaining shock-value and also a strong social message,” insists
