Hera Pheri 3 Controversy: Paresh Rawal Quits, Returns ₹11 Lakh to Akshay

Hera Pheri 3 Controversy: Paresh Rawal has withdrawn his name from the film, after which the production house Cape of Good Films has filed a lawsuit against him for Rs 25 crore. Meanwhile, now reports are coming that after being dropped from 'Hera Pheri 3', Paresh Rawal has been returned the signing amount of the film along with interest. According to the report, Paresh Rawal was also "suspicious" about a particular clause in the term sheet.

Paresh Rawal returned the signing amount with 15% interest

Actually, according to media reports, Paresh Rawal has allegedly paid more than the signing amount and interest. Paresh Rawal has returned the signing amount of ₹11 lakh with 15% interest per annum and has also paid some extra money to leave the series. According to the term sheet, Paresh Rawal was paid ₹11 lakh as signing amount. His total fee was fixed at ₹15 crore.

Hera Pheri 3 will not release even till 2027

According to a clause, Paresh Rawal will get the rest of his fees only after the release of the film, which will not happen until next year or 2027. "The term sheet mentioned that Paresh Rawal will get the remaining amount - ₹14.89 crores - only a month after the release of the film. Paresh Rawal was skeptical about this clause. Also, the main shooting of the film was to begin anytime next year. This means that Hera Pheri 3 was unlikely to release before the end of 2026 or in 2027. In short, Paresh Rawal would have had to wait for almost two years to get the rest of his acting fees".

Akshay Kumar had filed a case against Paresh Rawal

Akshay Kumar sued Paresh Rawal for this act. Pooja Tidke, joint managing partner of Parinam Law Associates, representing Akshay Kumar's banner, told news agency PTI, "I think this will have serious legal consequences. This will definitely harm the franchise. We have written a letter to him and told him that there are many legal consequences involved in this. Money has been spent on the cast, crew, major senior actors, logistics equipment, shooting of the trailer." Let us tell you that Akshay Kumar is also the producer of 'Hera Pheri 3'.

Hera Pheri was released in theatres in 2000 

Paresh Rawal played the role of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in the Hera Pheri franchise. Hera Pheri was released in cinemas in 2000, while Phir Hera Pheri hit the theatres in 2006. The first film was directed by Priyadarshan, who is also attached to the third installment. Hera Pheri (2000) also featured Akshay, Suniel Shetty, Tabu, Om Puri and Gulshan Grover. Directed by the late Neeraj Vora, Phir Hera Pheri featured Bipasha Basu, Rimi Sen, Sharat Saxena, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav and Manoj Joshi.
