House Arrest Controversy:
'Bigg Boss' ex-contestant Ajaz Khan's reality show 'House Arrest' is currently in a lot of controversy. At the same time, in the recent episode of Ullu app show House Arrest, many viewers and politicians have accused the show on social media of showing obscene content and promoting obscenity. Not only this, there is a demand for strict action against both Ajaz Khan and the producer of the show on social media. Not only this, users have started their complaints online by tagging the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Obscene acts shown in Ejaz Khan's show
In fact, House Arrest is a captivity-based show that streams on Ullu and is hosted by Eijaz Khan. In one of the most recent episodes streamed this week, one of the segments saw the host asking a contestant questions on sexual experimentation. When he asks her about sex positions, she hesitates and expresses her lack of knowledge. After this, Eijaz asks two other contestants to perform some sex positions for the first contestant to understand. The entire sequence is filled with suggestive overtones and lines. Another clip from the episode, which has gone viral on Twitter (now X), saw some female participants being challenged to remove their undergarments from beneath their clothes in front of the camera. Both these videos have created a huge controversy on social media.
Users made this demand to the Information and Broadcasting Minister, Ashwini Vaishnav
As soon as this video went viral, social media users addressed Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and wrote on Twitter, "Dear @AshwiniVaishnaw Sir and @MIB_India. Show: House Arrest. OTT: ULLU. This show is not only disgusting but beyond the definition of obscenity. Host Ajaz Khan is crossing the limits. This is the cheapest copy of Bigg Boss. The reels of this show are viral. Please ban this show as soon as possible". Another compared the controversy to the India's Got Latent controversy and wrote, "Whatever happened in Samay Raina's show was not as vulgar as Ajaz Khan is openly showing. This video is just an example, where should the FIR actually be filed and where not? You decide! @MIB_India They are corrupting our young minds so please ban this obscene show".
Priyanka Chaturvedi made a big revelation
Uddhav Thackeray faction leader and Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has made a big revelation. Priyanka Chaturvedi tweeted, "On March 14, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting blocked 18 OTT platforms, which were found to be streaming obscene and pornographic content. 18 banned OTT apps The apps blocked by the government were mainly platforms distributing explicit content. The following 18 apps were banned. Surprisingly the 2 biggest apps were excluded - Ullu and Alt Balaji, will the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting tell the country why they were excluded from this ban?"
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Bihar in-charge Barun Raj Singh made this request
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Bihar in-charge Barun Raj Singh requested Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to "save our children". He explained the content of the clip: "There is a show called House Arrest hosted by #AijazKhan. In this show, girls are asked to remove their bra and panties. As soon as the girls remove their underwear, the host and others on the show hoot and clap. They talk about sex positions on camera... Such shows should be stopped immediately."
