IIFA awards 2025: Nitanshi Goel Wins Best Actress for Laapataa Ladies, Beats Alia & Katrina!

Best Actress at IIFA 2025: IIFA 2025 was organized during the weekend in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Digital awards were held on Saturday, while theatrical awards were held on Sunday. Talking about the winners, the Best Film award was given to Lapata Ladies, Best Director award was given to Kiran Rao, Best Actor Male award was given to Kartik Aryan for 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' and Best Actor Female award was given to actress Nitanshi Goel of 'Lapata Ladies' (Nitanshi Goel winning best actress AWARD for Laapataa Ladies). The young actress who played the role of Phool Kumari in Kiran Rao's popular film 'Laapataa Ladies' looked emotional while accepting the honor. At the same time, Nitanshi almost could not hold back her tears while thanking the film's team and her family.

Let us tell you that Nitanshi Goyal won the Best Actress award by defeating Alia Bhatt (Jigra), Katrina Kaif (Merry Christmas), Yami Gautam (Article 370), and Shraddha Kapoor (Stree 2). While celebrating her victory, Nitanshi Goyal said, "I did not expect this. I was hoping that The Laapataa Ladies would win big, but I did not think that I would win myself. The other nominees were incredible, and I am a huge fan of all of them. I am really overwhelmed by the love I have received".

Not only this, when Nitanshi Goyal was asked about that emotional moment when she could not hold back her tears, she said, "It has become a thing now. Honestly, I could not stop crying because winning this award is like a dream come true for every actor and finally it came true for me. I am very grateful". After receiving the honor, Nitanshi told about the emotionality of that moment. The actress said, "First of all I cried and I tried to give a speech because I could not believe that this was happening. Then I hugged my mother and also hugged Kiran ma'am. It was all tears of joy. There are many people in my list but Shahrukh sir is at the top, followed by Kartik Aryan. It would be wonderful to work with any of them".
