Kangana Ranaut On Malayalam Film Industry: The series of sexual harassment allegations against members of the Malayalam film industry has shocked and worried the entire nation. It all started after the findings of the Justice Hema Committee report were made public. Meanwhile, now Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the sexual harassment allegations.
Kangana said this about the industry
Let us tell you that Kangana Ranaut was asked about the rape culture of Kerala industry during an interview and whether it is true for every film industry. Answering this question, she said, “I have nothing to say about the industry, it is a depressing place. I have put everything at stake, from my career to my choices. I have two cases against me. I started the MeToo movement, which by the way did not go anywhere. I started parallel feminist cinema but these women attacked me! These women do these films for me because I actively fought for pay equality. I did not do Khan films, Kapoor films, Kumar films. When my film Emergency does well they hide. Ten years ago, you can see the episode of Satyamev Jayate of mine and Aamir Khan. I am calling him for his script where the girl is saying 'No, no, no!' But the boy is saying 'Yes, yes, yes!'
I have made everyone my enemy- Kangana Ranaut
Along with this, Kangana Ranaut further said “I have made everyone an enemy. Where have we reached now? The same kind of sexist cinema, promoting violence against women is going on better than ever! So. About this report about Kerala, I have been talking about it for so long. Where did it go? It has not gone anywhere. It is a hopeless place. I feel I have wasted a lot of my time trying to bring about change. Maybe it brought changes in my life.
Kangana expressed disappointment towards women promoting item numbers
Kangana continued, "I have come to a very safe place as a woman. But I am sorry, I am very disappointed with the girls who promote and do these item numbers, who do not take responsibility for the sexualization of young women. I am very disappointed with women who do not promote the work of other women. I am very disappointed with women who tell me why I fight so many battles, they do not understand who I am fighting for? Am I fighting for myself? I have only lost out on opportunities, money, brands, and everything! I am very disappointed with them."
17 cases have been registered so far
For your information, let us tell you that after the findings of the Justice Hema Committee report were made public earlier this month, cases of sexual harassment in the Malayalam film industry came into the limelight. After this, many actresses accused male members of the industry of harassing them. So far 17 cases have been registered.
