Let us tell you that Kangana Ranaut reacted to the Kunal Kamra controversy and said, "It is not right to insult anyone.. In the name of comedy, you are disregarding someone's work. Shinde ji used to drive a rickshaw a long time ago and he has achieved a lot on his own. What credentials does Kunal Kamra have? Who is he? In the name of comedy, he abuses, makes fun of our holy books and people. He calls himself influential... We need to think where our society is heading just for two minutes of fame".

Comedian Kunal Kamra has reacted to the controversy that arose after his comment on Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde ( Kunal Kamra  Statement). Kunal Kamra posted on Instagram and wrote, "An entertainment venue is only a stage. A place for all kinds of shows. Habitat (or any other venue) is not responsible for my comedy, nor does it have any right or control over what I say or do. Nor does any political party do so. Attacking a venue for the words of a comedian is as stupid as overturning a truck carrying tomatoes because you did not like the butter chicken served".

Devendra Fadnavis condemned Kunal's comments

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis condemned Kunal's comments (comedian Kunal Kamra on Eknath Shinde), calling them "low-level comedy" and insisted that freedom of expression and sarcasm are understood, but certain limits must be respected. Shinde, who previously remained silent on the matter, later reacted to the controversy, saying, "We understand sarcasm, but it should have a limit".

This is how the controversy started (Kunal Kamra, Eknath Shinde Controversy)

Kunal had recently been at the centre of controversy when he mocked Shinde in a song from the Bollywood film Dil Toh Pagal Hai, in which he indirectly called him a 'traitor' for his political conversion. Kunal Kamra, referring to the breakaway factions of the Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), said that "one man" started this trend and used the word 'gaddar' (traitor) to describe that person. In the video, Kunal Kamra said, "What they did in the Maharashtra elections... I must say... First Shiv Sena broke away from BJP, then Shiv Sena broke away from Shiv Sena... NCP broke away from NCP... They gave nine buttons to a voter... and everyone got confused... Chalu Ek Jaan ne kiya tha... Woh Mumbai mein bahut badhiya ek district hai thane wahan se aate hain...".
