Kargil Vijay Diwas: Sidharth, Akshay & Bollywood Stars Pay Tribute to Martyrs

Today, 26 July 2025 marks 26 years of India's victory in the Kargil War. Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26 July to celebrate India's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War in 1999 to expel Pakistani forces from their occupied positions on the mountain peaks of North Kargil district in Ladakh. On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, many Bollywood stars paid emotional tribute to the armed soldiers.

Sharing a photo of the Army officer who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, Sidharth Malhotra wrote, "To the countless brave hearts who stood firm so that we could sleep safe and sound, your soul lives on in every heartbeat of a proud and glorious nation. Salute your sacrifice today and always. Kargil Vijay Diwas".

Sunil Shetty also paid tribute to the soldiers martyred in the Kargil war on his X account and wrote, "The war may have become history, but their bravery is immortal. Salute to the courage that echoed in the hills of Kargil. We will always be grateful to the real heroes who gave us victory and kept the tricolor high with blood, patience and pride. Jai Hind".

Akshay Kumar paid tribute to his fans on Kargil Vijay Diwas through a special post. He wrote on his Insta story, "Tribute to all the heroes who gave us this freedom and peace. Jai Hind".

Veteran actor Anupam Kher also paid tribute and wrote, "Team Tanvi salutes the great Indian Army on Kargil Day. Jai Hind!"
