Khel Khel Mein Director Reacts to Akshay Kumar's Recent Flops

Akshay Kumar's film Khel Khel Mein was released on 15th August. The film clashed with Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 and John Abraham's Vedaa. Out of these three films, Stree 2 won the box office. The films Khel Khel Mein and Veda could not make any collection at the box office. Meanwhile, Khel Khel Mein's director Mudassar Aziz gave his reaction to Akshay Kumar's continuous flop films and compared it to Shahrukh Khan's bad phase.

Filmmaker compares Akshay Kumar's failure with Shah Rukh Khan

Let us tell you that in his recent interview, Khel Khel Mein director Mudassar Aziz finally opened up about the film's failure. He revealed that he is not in a position to talk about a star like Akshay Kumar and his failures. He confidently said that Akshay Kumar's series of flop films will definitely end one day, just like Shah Rukh Khan, because there was a time when he too had to face a similar situation, and now he has overcome it by giving three consecutive hits. Talking about this, the filmmaker said, "He will find his way. This has happened many times before. This has been happening with Shah Rukh Khan sahab for the last five-seven years. Unfortunately, we live in a society where rejecting someone has become very fashionable. But after saying all this, I will share my experience of working with him as a filmmaker".

Mudassar Aziz continues to spread his positivity

Not only this, Akshay Kumar's recently released film Khel Khel Mein has collected Rs 26 crore in 15 days and has become one of the biggest flops of 2024. At the same time, failure at the box office could not distract the director's heart and mind. He was seen talking with the same enthusiasm. Talking about his experience of working with Bollywood's Khiladi, he shared that a person like Akshay Kumar who loves to make comedy and tries his best to make everyone laugh, he wanted to give the same thing in his film.

The director reacted on the box office performance of the film

Let us tell you that filmmaker Mudassar Aziz, while reacting to the box office performance, said, "In my opinion it is natural to have an emotional attachment with Khel Khel Mein. So I will take an objective view and say that films like Kantara (2022) and Pushpa: The Rise (2021), when started, actually did good collections at the box office for several days". At the same time, the filmmaker compared it to films that did well on OTT platforms and then were successful in theaters, such as Laapataa Ladies. Aziz said that the theatrical business is changing, he said, "When I look at the theatrical business, I feel that it has changed".
