The actress gained fame with the role of Angoori Bhabhi from the hit sitcom 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain'. Meanwhile, Shilpa Shinde has revealed about being harassed by a Hindi film producer in the early days of her career. She told that the film producer had forced himself on her during the audition.
Shilpa Shinde accused of sexual harassment
Let us tell you that actress Shilpa Shinde recalled an incident from the early days of her career in the latest interview and told how she was 'very innocent' at that time and hence, she agreed to do this scene. She said, "This is from my struggling days around 1998-99. I cannot take names, but he told me, 'You wear these clothes and do this scene'. I did not wear those clothes. In the scene, he told me that he is my boss, and I have to seduce him. I was very innocent then, so I did the scene. The person tried to force himself on me. I got very scared. I pushed him and ran away. The security staff realized what had happened and they asked me to leave immediately. They thought I would create a ruckus and call for help".

Along with this, Shilpa Shinde also recalled meeting the same producer many years later, when she refused to reveal his name. She said, "He was from the Hindi film industry. I agreed to do the scene because he was also an actor. I am not lying, but I cannot reveal his name. His children are probably a little younger than me. If I reveal his name, they will also feel bad. After a few years, I met him again. He talked to me very lovingly. He did not recognize me and even offered me a role in a film. I refused. He still does not remember me".
Shilpa Shinde shared her experience
Shilpa Shinde said that many others in the industry have had similar experiences. She said that 'some people ran away' like she did, while others told her that 'they have also faced similar situations, even with well-known celebrities.' Shilpa also said that when people talk about sexual harassment, she firmly believes that someone must have been approached, but they also have the 'option to say no'.
