Salman Khan’s Remarks

Salman Khan’s Remarks

During the trailer launch event, Salman Khan spoke about the film, mentioning that he took up this project because he wanted to work with director A.R. Murugadoss and producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

Salman’s Praise for Rashmika:

Salman Khan couldn’t stop praising his co-star Rashmika Mandanna. He spoke highly of her work ethic, saying, “Rashmika is a very hard-working girl. She gave her best for this film. She would go to shoot for Pushpa 2 at 7 AM, then come to the Sikandar set at 9 PM and shoot with us till 6:30 AM, only to head back to Pushpa’s set. Despite being unwell and even after breaking her foot, she never missed a day of shooting. In many ways, she reminds me of my own youth.”

On the Age Difference:

Salman Khan on working with Rashmika Mandanna in Sikandar: She reminds me of my younger self

When asked about the 31-year age gap between him and Rashmika, Salman Khan responded humorously, “There’s a 31-year difference between the heroine and me. If the heroine doesn’t mind and her father doesn’t have a problem with it, why should you? When she gets married, has children, and becomes a big star, you'll work with her again, right? Don’t worry, her mom will give permission!”

On His Movie Releases During Festivals:

When asked about his movie releases during festivals, Salman jokingly said, “Eid, Diwali, New Year—these festivals are about people’s love. Whether the film is good or bad, people still make sure it crosses 100 crores!” He quickly corrected himself, adding, “These days, it’s all about crossing 200 crores, 100 crores is a thing of the past.”

Salman Khan Sings a Song

One of the special moments of the event was when Salman Khan performed a live rendition of the classic song Lag Ja Gale from the 1964 film Woh Kaun Thi, starring Sadhana and Manoj Kumar. This song is also a part of Sikandar.

Rashmika Mandanna's Comments

Rashmika Mandanna expressed her gratitude and said, “If my films perform well at the box office, it’s not just because of my efforts. Every member of the team—be it the actors, director, producer, or writer—plays a part in the success. It's not just my hard work alone.” She also thanked the director and producer for the opportunity to be part of Sikandar.

Director A.R. Murugadoss’s Anecdote

Director A.R. Murugadoss shared an interesting story during the launch. He recalled trying to meet Salman Khan once, but after much effort, the guards wouldn’t let him in. Eventually, he managed to meet Salman under certain conditions, but they didn’t quite hit it off. Determined, Murugadoss made a promise to himself that one day, he would direct Salman. And today, that dream has come true with Sikandar.

Sathyaraj’s Thanks

Sathyaraj, who plays the villain in Sikandar, also thanked everyone for being a part of the film and expressed his appreciation for the opportunity.

Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s film Sikandar is scheduled for release on March 30th. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Pratik Babbar, and Anjini Dhawan in key roles.
