Story

The story begins with the Virgin Tree. This tree located in St. Vincent College is considered cursed by some people. It is believed that the ghost living on this tree wakes up every year on Valentine's Day. Every year this ghost targets someone in search of true love and the boy whom the ghost targets on Valentine's Day dies on Holi. This year  Shantanu (Sunny Singh) has become the target of the ghost. Ananya (Palak Tiwari) is Shantanu's best friend, but she is unaware that she loves him. Shantanu's friends Asif Khan and Nikunj Sharma support him at every turn. Mohabbat (Mouni Roy) arrives, who is the ghost of this time, who wakes up every Valentine's Day in search of love and leaves a trail of hallucinations and death behind her. After this, the college administration calls paranormal expert 'ghostbuster' Krishna Tripathi (Sanjay Dutt) to get rid of this ghost. Due to which everyone's life gets turned upside down. Will this Ghostbuster be able to kill the ghost, or will there be a new twist in this story? To know this you will have to go to the theatre and watch 'The Bhootna'.

Acting

In the film, Sanjay Dutt dominates the screen as 'Baba'. As Baba, Sanjay Dutt has added some swag to the otherwise dull script. His style and dialogue delivery in the film are all funny and powerful. Sunny Singh has played the character of Shantanu with utmost sincerity. Both his innocence and passion come out well on screen. Palak Tiwari has played the character of Ananya brilliantly, who keeps the audience glued to their seats. Mouni Roy looks the most mysterious and impressive in the character of 'Mohabbat'. Mouni has played this character very beautifully, which remains in the memory even after the film ends. On the other hand, the pairing of Nikunj Sharma and Asif Khan is a full dose of laughter. Their tuning and punchline delivery make the audience laugh out loud many times.

Direction and Writing

the bhootnii

The film is directed by Siddhant Sachdev. Siddhant Sachdev has written the screenplay along with Vankush Arora. Vankush, who wrote for 'Comedy Circus', has written comedy dialogues for this film. But the first half of the film is so boring that even its comedy dialogues seem ineffective. Sanjay Dutt's entry in the film is quite late. The film becomes a little interesting after his entry. It is quite interesting how Baba has been introduced in the film. He is seen fighting vampire-like creatures in a film that looks like a cheap, VFX-heavy film shot in front of a green screen. However, the second half is quite stretched. Overall, the director should have worked well on the script of the film.

How is the music

Talking about the music of the film, Santosh Narayan is making the audience crazy with his voice in the film. Songs like 'Aaya Re Baba', 'Taraara', 'Rang Laga' and 'Mahakal' give a strong energy to the film. The background music fits perfectly with every scene, which sometimes scares, sometimes increases the thrill and sometimes gives a pause to the story.

How is the movie

The Bhootni

'The Bhootni' is a movie that will not scare you at all. There is no doubt that the movie is full of comedy, but you will feel bored at times. In such a situation, if you are fond of both horror and comedy, then this movie can prove to be better for you. If you want to watch something fun and a little different with your friends or family this weekend, then you can include this movie in your list.
