Shaina NC defends 'The Kerala Story 2'

In fact, speaking to ANI, Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC claimed that, as shown in the recently released trailer of the film The Kerala Story 2, many girls in Kerala have been converted and urged people to see both sides of the issue to maintain peace in society. She said, “The film 'Kerala Story 2' is not a campaign to spread misinformation. The truth is that many girls in Kerala have been converted. This becomes clear when you look at the case study of 32,000 girls... This is the purpose of this film: to highlight this. To those who are opposing this, I would just say that if you want to maintain peace in society, you should look at both sides and understand what is actually happening in Kerala.”

Vipul Shah shares his thoughts on The Kerala Story 2

The film's producer, Vipul Amrutlal Shah, has stated that the film does not target Kerala. He told ANI, "We are not after Kerala. Kerala is God's own country... We want this evil to end as soon as possible in that state. The Kerala Story 2 goes beyond Kerala and exposes the larger conspiracy of forced religious conversions that is going on across India. Since its central theme is similar to Kerala Story 1, we have named it Kerala Story 2."

Kerala CM criticises The Kerala Story 2

In a statement issued from his office, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan said, "The release of the second part of 'The Kerala Story,' which was created with the agenda of spreading hatred against Kerala and insulting our secular traditions, must be taken seriously. They are spreading false propaganda by portraying even consensual marriages as examples of communalism and forced religious conversion. They view Kerala with hostility because it is a land free of communal riots, where people of different religions live together with mutual respect and cooperation. These forces, which seek to destroy the peace and brotherhood of our land, are the real enemies of our state. We must collectively reject attempts to portray Kerala, a land of religious harmony, a leader in sustainable development, and a model in maintaining law and order, as a hub of terrorism. It is our responsibility to ensure that false propaganda does not harm Kerala's secular foundations and reject it by upholding the values of secularism and brotherhood."
