Vikram Bhatt said this about his time in jail
When Vikram Bhatt was asked about his time in prison, the filmmaker reflected philosophically, saying that Lord Krishna was also born in prison. He said, "This is the fifth Dham. I am a devotee of Lord Krishna. I lived in the same place where Lord Krishna was born. Consider me coming out twice as good as before. Like Lord Krishna, I have a new battle to fight. I don't want to say much about law and order. I have complete faith in this country's legal system. Whatever justice is done will be for everyone's benefit."
Why was Vikram Bhatt arrested?
Vikram Bhatt and his wife Shwetambari were booked in November 2025 after an FIR was filed in Udaipur by Dr. Ajay Murdia of Indira IVF. The complaint alleged that Vikram and Shwetambari Bhatt committed fraud related to a film project. The FIR states that the complainant gave money to Bhatt's company and signed contracts for the production of four films, but the production house not only failed to deliver the films as per the agreement but also misused the funds. Murdia claimed that the accused swindled over ₹30 crore by making false promises. Police say their investigation revealed that the accused used fake bills and documents to siphon off the money.

Vikram Bhatt denied the allegations.
Vikram Bhatt, on the other hand, had categorically denied the allegations, saying that the police was being misled. Responding to the allegations, Vikram Bhatt said that the police was being misled. The filmmaker said, "I have read the entire FIR. (Vikram Bhatt denied the allegations) Now, to be honest, I feel that the Rajasthan Police is being misled... I have neither any letter, nor any notice, nor anything else and they are saying that for the greed of 200 crores, I committed a scam of 30 crores. If they have told this to the police, then they must have some documents, some paperwork. Otherwise, the police do not do such work. So, if this is so, then it is fake. This cannot happen."
