The cricketer posted on Instagram and wrote, "It has been 14 years since I wore the baggy blue for the first time in Test cricket. Honestly, I never imagined what journey this format would take me on. It tested me, shaped me and taught me lessons that I will carry with me for life".

Continuing his point, Virat Kohli further wrote, "Playing in whites is a very personal experience. I leave with a deep gratitude - to the game, to the people I shared the field with and to every single person who saw me along the way. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were spotted at the airport before announcing their retirement. The couple has been clicked while travelling between Mumbai and Bangalore. In the pictures, Virat is seen in a white T-shirt and beige trousers, while Anushka was seen in a pink and blue shirt with denim jeans. Both waved to the paparazzi and media persons present at the airport.

Virat Kohli played 123 Test matches for India, in which he scored 9230 runs at an average of 46.85. The batsman finished his Test career as the fourth-highest run-scorer for India. He also led the team in 68 Test matches. Kohli also oversaw India's Border-Gavaskar Trophy win in 2018–19.
