Delivering a special message for the Men In Blue (Indian Cricket Team) ahead of World Cup 2024, in a video titled ‘Ab Ho Ja Tu Taiyyar’ - Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama announced the ‘T20 World Cup Ka Shankhnaad’.

Premiered during the Chennai Super Kings vs. Punjab Kings IPL showdown, Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal of Ashwatthama heightened anticipation for the upcoming World Cup with his impactful voice, striking appearance with a gem (mani) on his forehead, body language, powerful monologue and bold expressions as the iconic character. The one-of-a-kind, 1-minute-and-55-second video comes after the unveiling of Prabhas as Bhairava and the grand reveal of Amitabh Bachchan’s character as Ashwatthama during previous IPL broadcasts, highlighting the extraordinary synergy between cricket and cinema.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ unveiled Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama in a majestic multilingual Pan India teaser, where he speaks Hindi in his Ashwatthama avatar, alongside a child conversing in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and more. Directed by Nag Ashwin and bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Movies, "Kalki 2898 AD" is a multilingual film, a mythology-inspired sci-fi spectacle set in the future, scheduled to hit screens worldwide on June 27, 2024.
