Chhoriyan Chali Gaon, Zee TV’s newest primetime reality show, is set to take viewers on a heartwarming and high-energy ride that takes them back to their roots. Premiering on 3rd August at 9 PM and airing daily from 9:30 PM onwards, the show blends spirited entertainment with real emotions and challenges, as 11 celebrity contestants from different walks of life step out of their comfort zones to embrace life in a rural Indian village. Adapted from Zee Marathi’s successful format Jau Bai Gavat, this Hindi version is produced by Zee Studios and is a key offering under the channel’s refreshed brand philosophy – Aapka Apna Zee TV – which champions stories that feel personal, rooted, and real.
Chhoriyan Chali Gaon: Urban Women in Rural India
At the heart of Chhoriyan Chali Gaon is a disruptive, social experiment-style format where 11 modern, urban women swap their fast-paced lifestyles for a 60-day immersive stay in a village. With no gadgets, minimal comforts, and raw reality, the participants take on tasks like milking cows, cooking on chulhas, and navigating rural life, while forming bonds with the villagers and each other. Hosted by Rannvijay Singha, the show presents a compelling cultural contrast – bringing “India” and “Bharat” together in a format that is both grounded and relatable.
