The TV audience is bored of watching serials based on mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, now they want something new. Keeping this in mind, the makers of Colors have brought a new show for the audience. Which is based on the conflict between sisters-in-law and sisters-in-law, away from the theme of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. Anita Hasanandani is also going to be seen in this show. One special thing about the show is that the culture of Indore is also shown in the show.
Anita Hasanandani Shines in 'Suman Indori,' Showcasing Indore Culture
Recently, the star cast of this show told the press about the story and characters of the show. Along with this, they also answered many questions from the press.
Prateek Sharma, director of the 'Suman Indori' show, said that this show is very special for us because Zain and I both are from Indore and my mother's name is also Suman. The three main characters of this show are Suman, Tirth, and Devika. All these three characters are inspired by the environment around us. All our characters are connected to each other.
Talking about the character of Suman in the show is a kind girl who takes care of others before herself. She sells chaat in Indore city. Her shop is famous as Suman Chaat Bhandar in Sarafa Bazaar. Tirth is the son of a rich family. Something happens in the show that Suman and Parth get married and Suman becomes the daughter-in-law of that house as the younger daughter-in-law. The character of Devika in the show is played by Anita who is the daughter-in-law of a big house and wants everything in the house to happen according to her wish.
There is also the character of a political leader in the show. How is that leader shown in your show? Answering this question, Prateek said that we are not showing any dictatorial leader in the show. In the show, the leader will support the sister-in-law or the elder sister-in-law, this is what the leader of this show is going to do. This character is not inspired by any particular person.
Suman and Devika are being liked a lot in the show. How was Anita Hassanandani chosen for the character of Devika? On this, Prateek told that when we wrote the character of Devika, we had already decided that we would take Anita for this role. We had approached only Anita. We had just taken her look test. Talking about Ashnoor, we had tested 31 girls for the role of Suman and then Ashnoor refused to work with me after my last show, that's why we took tests of so many girls. But later Ashnoor agreed to the role of Suman.
When Zain was asked about his character, he told the media that in this show I am in the form of a political leader. How he takes various turns to become the CM, is his story. I am very lucky that I have this character.
The dialogue of the show is looking very good. What would you like to say about this? On this question of the journalist, Ashnoor said that this is what we had to do, that everything looks real. Our idea was that it should seem as if everything is happening in reality. TV touches such areas, where many times OTT and films are unable to reach. On this, Ashnoor said that TV as a medium touches many such places and characters, that cinema or OTT cannot reach, such as rural areas. Many times people get inspired by watching TV and I think our show will definitely inspire people.
There is a dialogue in this show, 'If CM Sahab comes, then media will also come with him.' This dialogue tells about the role of media. How important is media for an artist? Anita, who plays the role of Suman's sister-in-law in the show, says that it is hand to hand. If you are a star, then there is media, if you are media, you are a star. Rest, just look at Urfi Javed. Hearing this from Anita, everyone started laughing loudly.
There is a scene in this show in which the rain of Indori Namkeen is shown. Which is being liked a lot. On this, the journalist asked the star cast when do you guys eat Namkeen? On this Ashnoor told herself that I am always on a diet, that's why I am not able to eat Namkeen. Whereas Anita said that Netflix and Namkeen are a good concept. Zain told me about his love for Namkeen and said that when it rains, I like to sit with the family and eat tea and Namkeen.
These days the script is being seen as very weak, which is why many shows are getting closed. What things are you going to keep in mind in scriptwriting in the future? On this Prateek said that in the field of TV, we keep doing some experiments. Due to this the grip on the story is lost. The cast, writing, and makers all have a very big role in this. Because our show is being watched by the women of the house, it is a big responsibility for us to bring some change in their lives. Our main job is to inspire them. This is also the objective of this show.
In the end, Anita gave a message to the audience that this show will come on Colors at 6:30 pm, and all of you should watch it and shower your love on it. Also, make this show a hit.
