Doree: Sonal Vengurlekar & Mahi Bhadra Join New Threads

'Doree' on COLORS has held audiences' attention with its compelling blend of entertainment and emotional resonance, chronicling the journey of six-year-old Doree, brought to life by Mahi Bhanushali. While Doree is fighting regressive thoughts and circumstances, more challenges threaten her course. Just when the viewers thought the saga couldn't get any richer, the show is about to intertwine some fascinating new threads that are poised to spring surprises. Promising to stitch new twists into its narrative, the thought-provoking drama ropes in popular actor Sonal Vengurlekar and child actor Mahi Bhadra to its ensemble. Sonal will be seen essaying the role of Pavitra, Ganga Prasad’s (Amar Upadhyay) elusive wife, who walked out on her marital bond just days after tying the knot. With her entry, the once-sturdy fabric of Doree's world is on the verge of fraying. Whereas Mahi Bhadra will portray the role of Flora, a young 8-year-old girl, who is Ganga Prasad’s biological daughter. Stubborn and spoiled, this vivacious little girl is bound to leave Doree's life in a tangled mess as she vies for her father's affection.

Sonal Vengurlekar, playing the role of Pavitra in COLORS' 'Doree' shares, “It's great to work with COLORS again, and I am excited to get another opportunity to play such an amazing role in Doree. I will be seen essaying the character of Pavitra who brings a lot of drama and twists in the lives of Ganga Prasad and Doree. Mahi Bhadra, essaying the role of Flora in COLORS' 'Doree' shares, “Doree is very special to me because I’m getting a chance to work with COLORS. I hope the audience will show the same love for my portrayal of Flora as they did for the previous characters I've played.  I can’t wait to know their response to my performance.”

 
In the current storyline, Doree witnesses Kailashi Devi brutally stabbing Maya and takes the blame innocently. Meanwhile, Sudha gets injured in a fight at the haveli. In the meantime, Ganga decides to flee Benaras with Doree upon realizing she'll be framed for Maya's murder. Later, Mansi intervenes and convinces Ganga to take Doree away while she deals with the situation. Will Ganga agree with Mansi and trust her?
