Vaishnavi Shekhawat Shines with ‘Tu Hi Re’ on India’s Best Dancer
Week after week, contestant Vaishnavi Shekhawat who lives in Bangalore and originally belongs to Rajasthan, has consistently been improving and captivating the judges and viewers with her exceptional talent. This week, Vaishnavi along with her choreographer Shivanshu Soni will leave everyone mesmerised with her graceful performance to the soulful track ‘Tu Hi Re’ from the film ‘Bombay.’ Vaishnavi will also talk about the loving bond she shares with her father, who has moved to Mumbai to be by her side and support her journey on India’s Best Dancer - Season 4. Not only has he uprooted his life to support his daughter in Mumbai, but he’s also become the go-to person for other contestants on the show as well, who came forward to share some special moments they have shared with Vaishnavi’s father.
Amazed by the performance, Judge Geeta Kapur said, “My knowledge about contemporary dance may not be extensive, but the one thing I’ve understood over the years is that technical skill is very important for contemporary dance. However, it is equally crucial for your body to communicate. When I watch Vaishnavi, your body speaks the language of dance. Also, I feel that the bond you have with Shivanshu, the connection you’ve developed over time, has put life into your performances. Your progression has been impressive and your performances are always improving. God bless both of you. Vaishnavi, very well done today.”
Judge Karisma Kapoor also said, “Vaishnavi and Shivanshu, it was mind-blowing; I was stunned. I almost cried and felt like I might break down. Of course, it was a very emotional act, but the way both of you performed was outstanding. Hats off to both of you. Vaishnavi, I really think you’ve matured as a dancer. Today, your expressions and the way you connected with Shivanshu were just beautiful. The chemistry between you two is superb.”
This weekend, tune in to Sony Entertainment Television for the ‘Apne Special’ on ‘India’s Best Dancer – Season 4’ at 8:00 PM.
