Shubhangi Atre on Portraying Angoori in 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai'

Actress Subhangi Atre, who plays the role of Angoori in Sanjay and Binaiferr Kohli's Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, says that she loves playing her character in the show. The actress adds that playing a comic role is challenging and she is enjoying this.

 “First of all, Angoori is a beautiful character and I think I would say there are very few characters like her that are written So it's a treat for an actor. And how do I relate? Yes, because of her innocence and simplicity, because I am also a very simple person. So that is how I connect to this character, relate to this character and I just love doing this character,” she says.

She adds, “Comedy is a serious business because no matter what is happening in your life you have to make people laugh. Making people cry is very easy.  I have done family drama or very emotional scenes also. But now I realize that making people laugh is not easy.”

Ask her how she feels about working in the show. “I think Edit II is a perfect production house and it's very comfortable to work with them. Whenever I get to do something different then it's best for me, to try something out of my comfort zone, and I have many chances. Recently, I played the AI version of Angoori and I have explored as an actor a lot. I think every medium caters to its own set of audience because the urban population is too much into OTT and rural and your townships are into TV or films and take care of everyone. Being an actor, mediums do not matter to me. I love doing my job, that is to act,” she says.

She adds, “I love my work. I cannot live without my work.  I just want to excel in it. I just want to learn. I just want to explore myself as an actor and as a human being. I just want to say that life keeps on going, but what matters the most is how happy and peaceful you are with yourself. Just be happy and life is to explore.”
