The aggressive, flamboyant yet sensitive lead role in (CEO Akshaye Widhani for ) YRF --blockbuster movie Saiyaara' ( racing towards Rs 200 crores plus worldwide) is convincingly played by tall handsome macho debut-hero Ahaan Panday (son of Aloke Sharad Panday fondly called Chikki and Deanne Panday). Yes, this charismatic Ahaan nephew of star actor Chunky (Suyash) Panday is the latest star-hero on the filmy horizon who has generated a mass-hysteria-craze among theatre audiences, social-media viewers and swooning young females. As is known, this film is directed by talented Mohit Suri and the romantic lead is played by hugely talented photogenic model-actress Aneet Padda who gets her big-break in this sensational record-setting movie.

Numerous senior and even young Bollywood watchers have positively observed and appreciated that Ahaan Panday has a fleeting resemblance to the much-younger version of his star-uncle Chunky Panday in basic looks, wavy hair-style, and maybe even certain mannerisms. Since as a senior film-journalist, I personally know Chunky and his entire family since 1985, even before he entered films even I also noticed the similarities.

That's when I had a conversation with senior film-maker and star-maker Pahlaj Nihalani who launched 'Chunky Panday in his multi-starrer blockbuster 'Aag Hi Aag'.  " Said Pahlaj, "Must say that Ahaan does have this facial resemblance to his dad Chikki and also to Chunky in certain camera-angles especially the hair-style. You may recall I had cast Chunky as a lead debut top-star hero in my golden jubilee superhit Aag Hi Aag (1987) and then also in so many of my golden and silver jubilee superhit movies like Paap Ki Duniya, Mitti Aur Sona and of course golden jubilee movie  'Aankhen' (1993). When I saw the trailer and songs of 'Saiyaara' and then later on the music and haunting lyrical songs entire movie, I had this gut feeling and confidence that the movie would surely emerge a gripping emotional romantic musical chart-buster mega-success. I wish to affirm that Ahaan Pandey is mind-blowing on-screen and he is versatile top-star-material and he has a great successful acting career ahead of him. Even the new heroine Aneet is very talented and promising," shares Nihalani. 

Pahlaj continues, " Am delighted that although his both parents were eminent medical specialist doctors, Chunky dared to get into showbiz and achieved popular stardom in Hindi films and even in Bangladeshi films. Chunky's memorable annual star-studded Birthday and New Year Parties always had his hallmark of 'showmanship'.  Am delighted that just like the Kapoor khandaan. The Panday Parivaar also has emerged a glittering gallery or galaxy of family stars-- right from Chunky Panday, Bhavana Panday, charming heroine Ananya Panday, Deanne Panday, and now the latest addition is macho hero Ahaan Panday !.
