Khadaan: Ali Goni & Karanvir Bohra’s Thriller Unveils Dark Secrets on Hungama OTT

Hungama OTT, one of India's leading digital entertainment platforms, released its original series 'Khadaan' on 19 March 2025. The story of this thriller revolves around an investigation in a small village. Ali Goni is in the lead role in this series and Karanvir Bohra and Rebecca Anand are in important roles along with him. Haunted Village Mystery: Inspector Veer’s Chilling Quest

In the story, a village with a mine has become haunted due to its bad and horrifying past. Inspector Veer Pratap Singh comes to this village so that he can spend some quality time comfortably, but after coming here he gets involved in a hair-raising investigation. What happens is that all the members of a family are murdered and many disturbing questions arise. Has an angry spirit come to take its revenge? Has the curse on this village been rekindled? After this investigation, when hundreds of dead bodies emerge from under the ground, questions arise as to who is behind these bodies and what is the reason for this? When Veer tries to uncover this, he reaches a web of mystery and deceit. As secrets are revealed, the difference between what people say and the truth starts to fade. Veer sets out to find a truth that will test him and change his life forever.

Ali Goni on ‘Khadan’: “A Role That Pushed Me Beyond My Comfort Zone"

Throwing light on his role in the series and his experience of working in this original series, Ali Goni said, “Playing Veer Pratap Singh in the series Khadan has been a very special experience for me and it is very close to my heart. This role challenged me to come out of my comfort zone, play a role that I have never played before and try my hand at a horror-thriller series. It is an amazing series and I have thoroughly enjoyed every process of doing it, be it the script reading sessions or the research for the shoot. What I mean to say is that this series connects with any person and I am sure the audience will love it.”

Karanvir Bohra on ‘Khadan’: “A Negative Role with Many Layers and Challenges”

Karanvir Bohra said about the series, “Playing a negative character is always challenging. Such a character has many layers so there are challenges in playing it, but I thoroughly enjoyed this character. There are many stories running simultaneously in ‘Khadaan’ and each story has a different struggle and past. It will be very interesting for the audience to see how the characters deal with their problems and find out their truth. Working with the team of this series was also a great experience and I am hopeful that the hard work we all have put in will be loved by the audience.”

Talking about her experience of playing Pragya in the series, Rebecca Anand says, “Khadaan is a complex story with deception at every step, unresolved secrets from the past that haunt Veer and Pragya as they try to unravel the mystery surrounding the village. As the series progresses, viewers will witness multiple layers to Pragya’s character with new developments and will want to stay tuned to the series till the end to unravel the mystery.”
