Ramayana Latest Update: Nitesh Tiwari 's ' Ramayana ' is one of the most awaited films in recent times. Ramayana is turning out to be a visual and emotional cinematic spectacle never seen before. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana, the latest information related to ' Ramayana' ( Ramayana Latest Update) is coming out that Ranbir and Yash will not be seen together till the climax of 'Ramayana'.

In fact, according to sources close to the production, "The makers have decided to stay true to the original Valmiki text where Lord Rama and Ravana do not meet each other for most of the epic. Their worlds remain separate, with their stories unfolding in parallel until destiny brings them face to face in the climactic battle. As per the original tale, Rama comes to know about Ravana's existence only after Sita is kidnapped and the two never meet until their confrontation on the battlefield in Lanka."

Kajal Agarwal will play Yash's wife

Let us tell you that recently there were reports that South superstar Yash has been chosen by the makers to play the role of Ravana in the film 'Ramayana Part 1'. Now according to the information received from sources, "Kajal Aggarwal gave her look test last week. After which the actress will now play the role of Mandodari opposite Yash. She has recently started shooting for this part. The producers are currently shooting the part of Ravana's Lanka".

The production of Ramayana is currently underway on huge sets in Mumbai. Earlier, a source associated with the film had told that it is being made on a whopping budget of Rs 835 crore. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Rama in 'Ramayana', Sai Pallavi will be seen in the role of Sita, while Yash has confirmed that he will play the powerful Ravana. The film also stars Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Sheeba Chaddha, Arun Govil and Lara Dutta, Indira Krishnan as Manthra. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the first installment of Ramayana is set for a grand release on Diwali 2026, with the sequel releasing on Diwali 2027. According to media reports, Jaideep Ahlawat was approached to play the role of Ravana's righteous brother Vibhishana in Ramayana. While he was reportedly keen to be a part of the project, he had to pass up the opportunity due to commitments and scheduling.
